How do I use the Discover 2GO Card to make a purchase?
Hold the protective case and rotate the Discover 2GO Card out of it. The magnetic strip on the back of the card can be swiped just like your existing Discover Card. If for any reason you experience difficulty, simply give your standard Discover Card to the merchant. If you do not have your standard card available, ask the merchant to type in the account number from the front of the card.
If I already have a Discover Card, will my Discover 2GO Card share the same account number as my Discover Card?
Yes, both the Discover 2GO Card and your existing Discover Card will have the same account number and all charges made with either card will appear on your monthly billing statement.
Do I need both a Discover 2GO Card and a Discover Card?
Yes, the Discover 2GO Card is accepted just about everywhere you use your existing Discover Card. However, due to the Discover 2GO Card's unique shape and size, it is not possible to use it at certain gas station pumps and ATMs where you must insert your entire card into the machine. Use your traditional Discover Card in these situations.
Will I receive Discover Card rewards with my Discover 2GO Card?
If your Discover Card account earns rewards, your Discover 2GO Card will as well. The Discover 2GO Card is just like a Discover Card with all the benefits and rewards, such as the Cashback Bonus® Program.*
What happens if my Discover 2GO Card is lost or stolen?
Report your lost or stolen Discover 2GO Card immediately just as you would any other lost credit card. Call 1-800-DISCOVER (1-800-347-2683) and a Customer Service Representative will assist with the replacement. And don't forget you are protected with our $0 Fraud Liability on all unauthorized transactions.
If I request a new Discover Card design, will my account number stay the same?
Yes, the terms of your agreement will remain the same, including your account number, interest rates, statement closing date, Cashback Bonus, and Account Center settings.
I requested a new Discover Card design, what should I do with my current card?
Since your account number will not change, your current card will remain active until the expiration date. Continue using it until the expiration date shown on the card or call us at 1-800-DISCOVER (1-800-347-2683) to deactivate the card. You do not need to return your current card to us. If you choose not to use your old card, please destroy it.
I changed my reward program so why is my old card design still appearing on my account?
If you recently changed reward programs, the card designs associated with that old reward program will continue to be active until the expiration date shown on the card. You can continue to use that card for purchases until it expires and it will earn rewards towards the new reward program.
What are the numbers on the back of my Discover Card?

On the back of your Discover Card, there is an area where you sign your name. If your card was printed before July 2003, you will see two sets of numbers including your 16-digit account number (see Card A) OR the last four digits of your account number (see Card B). If your card was printed after July 2003, you will see three sets of numbers (see Card C).

These numbers are part of the state-of-the-art technology that we employ to enhance security and cardmember convenience. The cardmember ID number is used to verify transactions made when the card is not present, such as Internet or catalog purchases.

It is also required when registering for the Account Center. The sequence number, which always begins with the letter "A," will be used for future product and security enhancements.
