Wallet Protection Important Information
After notification to Wallet Protection of your lost or stolen cards we will contact the issuers of your credit, debit and ATM cards. If the issuer does not accept our notice, we will inform you.
Federal law limits your liability for unauthorized credit card use to $50. For debit and ATM cards, the limit is generally $50 if you notify the card issuer within two business days and $500 if you do not, but can be unlimited under certain circumstances. In addition, any liability which may be imposed on you by a card issuer is subject to the satisfaction of certain conditions disclosed to you by the card issuer. In no event will you be liable for unauthorized use occurring after you notify the card issuer.
Wallet Protection benefits extend to joint Cardmembers as well as your spouse and any children living at home. We'll even protect your unmarried, dependent children under age 19, or under age 23 if they are full-time students.
If you request up to $1,000 in Emergency Cash (depending on available credit and state/local limits), it will be treated as a Cash Advance under your Discover® Cardmember Agreement, but we will waive the Cash Advance Transaction Fee.
Product features and price are subject to change with notice. Your membership in Wallet Protection will automatically be billed at the then-current rate to your Discover Card Account and continue without interruption as long as you are a Discover Cardmember or you notify us to discontinue it. Enrollment in Wallet Protection is not required to maintain your Discover Card Account.
Under federal law, you have a right to obtain a free credit report once per year from each of the major nationwide credit reporting agencies and you also may have the right to obtain a free credit report from a credit reporting agency under other circumstances. In some states, you also may have a right to a free credit report annually. Your credit monitoring service is not intended to substitute for those rights.
Wallet Protection, which includes 90 days of credit monitoring (when a loss is reported), is offered by Discover Products, Inc. Other terms and conditions are set forth in your membership kit.
